Staffordshire County Council is seeking a Communications Assistant to support the media team, content creators and graphic designers. The role centres on social media, answering queries and updating communities on Staffordshire issues, with a highways focus.

It is a full-time fixed-term role until the end of March 2028, predominantly office-based with the option to work from home where appropriate, requiring a two-day per week office presence and travel for filming.

Qualifications

• Has a degree or equivalent in marketing or communications.
• Experience in media, marketing or communications, paid or voluntary.
• Experience of working with the public across organisational levels.

Responsabilités

• Writing content for social media, websites and newsletters.
• Using social media to support campaigns and media work.
• Researching and reviewing campaigns.
• Drafting, checking and sending out campaign materials.
• Creating videos, photos and graphics.
• Posting updates on our website and social media channels.
• Reviewing how well our communications have worked and monitoring media coverage.
