Job description

Senior Social Media Analyst (EMEA) / 6 month freelance

Purpose: The EMEA team is seeking a freelance service provider with senior-level expertise in social media analytics to provide services in support of EMEA brand social team's social-first program.

Background: the social team is focused on enhancing understanding and engagement with conversations impacting the brand across the region, particularly around key initiatives like AI and our broader product portfolio. We require external analytical support to augment our capabilities in identifying trends, providing actionable insights, and refining our social strategy.

Scope of services required:

The selected service provider will be expected to deliver services including, but not limited to:

- Performance reporting: develop and deliver regular performance reports (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly) summarising key learnings and providing actionable recommendations for social strategy optimisation;

- Cross-functional analytical partnership: provide analytical support and partnership to internal teams (brand studio, marketing, product marketing, communications) to quantify conversations, interpret data, and recommend data-driven optimisations;

- Agency report review: review and finalise social analytics reports provided by 3rd party agency partners for accuracy and strategic relevance before distribution;

- Resource development: develop resources such as reports and dashboards to facilitate the understanding and adoption of social insights by internal teams.

- Subject matter expertise: serve as a resource for analytical guidance and support on cross-team reporting initiatives;

- Proactive trend identification and monitoring: provide services to establish and manage monitoring systems for identifying emerging social media trends and relevant brand conversations, and flagging/escalating key developments;

- Daily trends reporting: manage the delivery of a daily social trends report/newsletter to key internal stakeholders;

operational support and best practices: contribute to the development and maintenance of social-first operational frameworks and best practices for the program;

- Strategic insight scaling: provide services to support the strategic scaling of social insights and deliverables across various EMEA markets;

Global and regional collaboration: proactively partner with global and regional teams to identify and adapt existing frameworks and best practices, leveraging 'steal with pride' opportunities to enhance EMEA's social analytics capabilities and foster consistent approaches across regions.

Required expertise and provider profile:

The ideal service provider will demonstrate the following capabilities and experience:

- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience providing social media analysis services, specifically for global brands, with a strong emphasis on brand monitoring and insights delivery;

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the digital marketing landscape;

expert-level proficiency in leading social listening and analytics platforms, including Brandwatch and Sprinklr;

- Advanced expertise in Boolean logic for sophisticated data querying and segmentation;

- Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data sets, identify key trends, and translate findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for diverse audiences;

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering effectively with global and regional teams, as well as external agencies.

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 month freelance contract

Location: London (Ideally 2-3 days a week in office)
