The Role
The purpose of this role is to work with families, schools, and other partner organisations to ensure that children are able to access an education that is appropriate to their needs and addressing any issues which prevent individual children from receiving this. While a range of statutory duties must be met within this role, the main aim will be to take a child-centred approach within this framework to broker support required to meet individual needs. This role covers inclusion, exclusion, suspensions, part-time timetables, and elective home education.

The post holder will support Herefordshire Council’s Children and Young People and Education strategies.
You will hold a degree level qualification and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). This is a full-time, permanent post. The start date for this position will be 1st August 2025 or as soon as possible.
