Due to an increased level of new clients and projects, SLR’s leading Social Performance team is looking to recruit a consultant with a background in Social Performance - social impact assessments, communications, community or stakeholder engagement – with an emphasis on designing positive social value outcomes for communities and our clients.

This opportunity will suit a candidate at the early stages of their Social Performance career (circa 1-4 years’ experience), looking to partner with a global consultancy and learn from a team of market leading experts across Australia. This role will be based in our modern Melbourne offices, with a fantastic team, culture and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Experience

In addition to being an outgoing and dynamic team player, our ideal candidate will have :

  • 1-4 years of experience in Social Performance including Social Impact Assessment and / or Community and Stakeholder Engagement roles.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in communications, social sciences, public policy, journalism, or a related field.
  • Interest in ESG frameworks, circular economy, climate change adaptation and resilience.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, and an ability to work with multiple disciplines and teams across a large dynamic business.
  • Experience in the consulting industry will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

You will work in partnership with a good mix of our 21 Disciplines, learning from and collaborating with many of our 1000 (and counting!) employees in APAC. This opportunity will see you :

  • Support the social performance team across Australia.
  • Liaise with other internal consultants from other disciplines in a collaborative manner to deliver project outcomes.
  • Undertake research such as sentiment analysis, social research and stakeholder mapping.
  • Develop communication materials (hardcopy and digital) and project collateral.
  • Assist with writing and preparing fee proposals.
  • Prepare high quality reports for clients.
  • Must have excellent written communication skills and be articulate and good with people (High EI).
  • Adhere to professional standards, ethics and quality procedures.
