Housing Department Background: Known for its legal expertise and advocacy in social housing, representing landlords and tenants across the UK. Handles cases related to homelessness, disrepair, eviction, and more, with extensive court experience.

Main Responsibilities of the Role
  • Collaborate with the Board to meet performance targets
  • Lead all aspects of Housing work, providing expertise and guidance
  • Represent clients as Housing Court Duty Scheme over the last 2 years
  • Supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers
  • Assist in training and development
  • Manage a variety of housing cases and undertake advocacy
  • Handle emergency cases and strategic litigation
  • Prepare funding applications and legal documents
  • Maintain a proactive approach with client care and business development skills
Key Skills Required:
  • 3+ years PQE in Housing and Litigation, including court representation
  • Experience as Duty Advisor under Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme (last 2 years)
  • Meet or willing to work towards the 2013 SQM Supervisor standard in Housing
  • Experience in welfare rights and community care
  • Valid Practicing Certificate
  • Team player with leadership and networking skills
  • Proactive, client-focused, and capable of handling vulnerable clients
  • Excellent IT skills and experience with legal and HR systems
  • Ability to manage social media for company promotion
