Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking an experienced Painter to join an established social housing contractor delivering planned maintenance, responsive repairs and void refurbishments across Daventry and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will paint internal and external surfaces in occupied and void properties, prepare surfaces, apply multiple coatings, and ensure high workmanship while respecting tenants' homes. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a painter in social housing, domestic maintenance or refurbishment.
• Excellent surface preparation and finishing skills with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently across occupied and void properties and travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting in occupied and void properties.
• Prepare surfaces by filling, sanding, repairs, and wallpaper removal.
• Apply emulsion, gloss, satinwood, primers and coatings.
• Complete decorating works as part of planned maintenance and void refurbishments.
• Travel between properties across the regional patch.
• Submit weekly timesheets and maintain high-quality workmanship.
