Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an Electrician to perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and remedial electrical maintenance in occupied homes across social housing properties. The role emphasizes safe fault finding, efficient diagnostics and diligent record-keeping.

You will work independently on a defined patch, repairing showers, immersion heaters and pumps while following current regulations. A permanent company benefits package is offered after a temporary period.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
• City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 & Level 3 or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Experience carrying out EICRs and remedial works
• Ability to renew and repair showers, immersion heaters and pumps
• Previous social housing Domestic maintenance or property services experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Carrying out EICRs in occupied residential properties
• Completing remedial works after inspection and testing
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently and safely
• Renewing and repairing showers, immersion heaters and pumps
• Undertaking testing and inspection in line with regulations
• Ensuring works are completed safely and in compliance with standards
• Accurately recording completed works and certifications
• Providing professional, customer-focused service to residents
• Managing workload across a designated patch
