We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Insight team. This role is critical in leveraging data to evaluate operational performance and environmental impact. From analysing large-scale ingredient-level datasets to evaluating KPIs related to food waste and nutrition, your insights will support strategic decision-making across our business.

Reporting to the Lead Analyst, you will use data to influence process improvements, efficiency, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance — with a focus on analytics, data storytelling, and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse complex datasets to quantify environmental metrics such as carbon footprint and food waste and monitor progress toward ESG targets.
  • Support the development of robust KPIs and interactive dashboards to communicate performance insights across the organisation.
  • Use data to evaluate and optimise menu nutritional composition, supporting health and wellbeing targets.
  • Conduct impact analysis on training and development initiatives, with a focus on operational value and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide clean, timely, and reliable datasets for reporting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, food development, operations, HR, and sustainability to define data needs and build aligned reporting.
  • Conduct data audits and validations to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Engage with third-party data providers to integrate and validate external datasets.

Requirements

Experience & Background

  • Degree or working experience in a relevant subject (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Environmental Science, or similar).
  • Experience in ESG, sustainability, or operational performance analytics is desirable but not essential.

Technical Proficiency

  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
  • Working knowledge of data tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R would be beneficial.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets (from millions to billions of rows), with the ability to extract meaningful insights efficiently.

Analytical & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, root causes, and actionable insights from complex data.
  • Skilled in data storytelling — clearly communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrates business acumen by aligning analysis with organisational goals and priorities.
  • Experienced in helping design meaningful metrics to measure environmental and social impact.
  • Collaborative and confident when working with cross-functional stakeholders to develop context-driven insights.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to data integrity, accuracy, and ethical use
