The Social Content Manager represents a pivotal element in our mission to redefine social media narratives and audience engagement. Through this role, the individual will orchestrate the growth and direction of an exciting social content channel launch for a leading UK TV Talent duo, turning analytical insights into compelling, culturally relevant content that captivates and expands global audiences. Working alongside a team of creatives, data insight analysts and content specialists, the Social Content Manager will play a central role in defining, executing and leading the growth across a spectrum of social channels. This role involves overseeing and managing all channel operations, audience development and content ideation; as well as playing a key executional role in thumbnail creation, short‑form video edits and social copywriting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing, leading and growing social channels, with a deep understanding of audiences and the role of social in a wider content ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Be the project lead for an exciting social content channel launch for a leading UK TV talent duo using their extensive TV archival content. You will be responsible for updating content trackers, keeping internal stakeholders up to date and making sure all aspects of the project are delivered on time to a high standard.
  • You will ideate, edit and deliver short‑form social video content across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, alongside our in‑house video editors.
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars, encompassing video concepts, thumbnail designs, as well as content titles and descriptions.
  • Conceptualise and build socially‑optimised thumbnails for YouTube and other channels across the social ecosystem. You'll be an expert in thumbnail strategy and delivery, with a deep understanding of what sparks intrigue and drives clicks.
  • Help manage and structure scheduling across YouTube and multiple social platforms, adhering to platform best practices and benchmarks.
  • Collaborate closely with client and internal teams to ensure seamless video production, providing necessary guidance and resources to achieve high‑quality content.
  • Be focused on building and developing audiences through content distribution and community management.
  • Be front and centre with the client. Attending & co‑leading weekly client status calls and being confident in leading on content updates, channel progress and reporting.
  • Be able to articulate the role of social platforms in a channel mix and provide training and leadership to clients on YouTube.
  • Collaboratively lead and guide a team of cross‑functional stakeholders, fostering a creative and productive environment to consistently deliver exceptional content.
  • Ability to utilise data to optimise YouTube content strategies, and work with our in‑house data & insights team to provide monthly reports to clients.
  • Ability to optimise & report on platform monetisation across YouTube and other social platforms.
  • Stay abreast of social trends, algorithm updates, and emerging opportunities to innovate and create viral content strategies for client channels.
  • Offer constructive feedback to creative teams on video content to enhance engagement and performance metrics.
  • Strong dedication and commitment to achieving results, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years proven track record in social media content production, channel strategy development and growth, demonstrating a deep understanding of best practices and algorithm dynamics.
  • Strong skills and experience in producing social first video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, with examples to show.
  • Excellent skills and experience producing YouTube Thumbnails on Photoshop/Canva or similar, with examples to show.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with YouTube Channel Management, and across additional social platforms.
  • Strong copywriting skills for YouTube and other social media platforms, with impeccable grammar, with examples to show.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities and adeptness at handling diverse tasks under pressure.
  • Capacity to manage feedback constructively and maintain composure in high‑pressure situations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, essential for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Ambitious and self‑motivated, driven to deliver significant impact and drive channel success.
  • Ideally, experience within a client‑facing creative business, publisher and/or agency.
