Job description

Job Title: Social Care Worker (Justice Services, Diversion from Prosecution Team)

Location: GCHSCP Justice Services, 80 Norfolk St, Glasgow, G5 9EJ

Salary: £35,636.37 - £41,378.84 per year

Contract Type: Permanent

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Job Description

This role involves working within the Diversion from Prosecution (DfP) team to assess and support individuals referred by the Procurator Fiscal. Responsibilities include:

  1. Assessing individuals using electronic case management systems and liaising with social work, health staff, and third sector colleagues.
  2. Interviewing individuals to understand their views and willingness to engage in diversion activities.
  3. Providing interventions such as advice, signposting, referrals, or direct work to address underlying needs.

Membership of the PVG Scheme is essential, and candidates will need to cover the cost of their membership. The role is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013.
