We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role, which involves creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, keeping accurate records of support planning, and ensuring the service user is offered opportunities, experiences, and care within their care plan. The role also involves promoting access to opportunities in local communities and enabling individuals to continue living meaningful lives.

We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people; our services include care homes, respite, STAR unit, and day services.

The Person

  • Provide care and support that meets the Health and Social Care standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other Council services and partner agencies to support effective planning and delivery of care.
  • Work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
  • Work towards the required qualification as specified by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). It is your responsibility to inform the SSSC once qualified.
  • Achieve SSSC registration within 6 months of starting the role, applying within 3 months of employment. Maintain registration by obtaining the necessary qualifications, completing Continuous Professional Learning (CPL), and submitting annual declarations via MySSSC.

Note: The successful applicant must start their registration process promptly to ensure registration within the specified timeframe. Details are provided in the role profile. Additionally, the role requires obtaining PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before confirmation of appointment.
