Choice Care in Basingstoke is seeking a Social Care Worker to join our team at Oakley Lodge. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and offer full in-house training and a career path from day one.

You will help residents with daily activities and care while following care plans and company policies. The role involves supporting residents, maintaining records, and participating in training to develop skills within a supportive, community-focused home at Oakley Lodge which houses 12 residents

Key duties

• Providing personal care – including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
• Medication administration
• Assisting and getting involved in residents'daily activities, hobbies or outings
• Following care plan guidance alongsideCompany policies and procedures
• Developing an open, honest, and considerate working relationship with residents
• Maintaining written daily records
• Attending and completingtraining, as required

Where willyou work?

Opened in December 2016, Oakley Lodge in Basingstoke is a purpose-built, residential community home for 12 residents of varying ages with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs, including those people who present behaviours that challenge. Oakley Lodge has its own Day Activities Coordinator, responsible for developing individual and group activity programmes. A tailor-made activities building provides a dedicated space for arts and crafts, and skills development.
