We are looking for a motivated caring person to join our team. To provide day centre support to vulnerable people including people with moderate to severe dementia in the day centre or community with the support/supervision of senior staff.
To support the service users in collaboration with the day centre workers and management by following and liaising with day centre workers inputting into the care plan for those individuals, as appropriate.
To work in a person centred way which promotes the quality of life and maximises independence for all service users.
To work flexibly within the day centre and community setting, to maintain the day to day routine.
To provide personal care and support to service users.
To escort clients on minibus to and from home to centre.
Hours are 9-5 pm currently running Mon-Fri but in future plan to open 7 days per week until late evening.
SVQ 3 Desirable but training will be given.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
