Position Title: Social Care Programme Officer X2

Location: London Fields (NCB promotes a hybrid, flexible way of working. Staff can work remotely for part of the week if they wish and in the office or face-to-face for 2 days per week)

Status: Full Time (35 hours), Permanent

Salary: £34,620. Other benefits include 30 days holiday plus bank holidays (and an additional 3 days leave for Christmas org-wide shut down).

We are seeking two Social Care Programme Officers to support our programmes across children’s social care. This role offers an opportunity to be involved in national transformation initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for looked-after young people and those leaving care, with a focus on regulating supported accommodation for 16 and 17-year-olds.

The ideal candidates will have experience or interest in children’s social care practice. They should be motivated, confident in developing resources for various engagement and training activities, and skilled in facilitating group learning and co-facilitating training for professionals.

Excellent communication, IT, and writing skills are essential. Candidates should be passionate, interested in social care, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities include supporting the operational delivery of projects related to disabled children, those with Special Educational Needs, and broader social care policy and practice. Opportunities exist to participate in networks and influence social care policy and practice through collaboration with colleagues and partners.
