Job title: Social Care Personal Assistant

Hours: 2 PAs required for Term Time (2 x 3 hours per week) and Holiday Time (2 x 5 hours per week).

Location: Great Park, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne

Rates of pay: £14.00 per hour

Purpose of Job:

Our son is a loving and creative 12-year-old boy who enjoys drawing, making clay models of his favourite characters, and outdoor activities like beach and woodland walks. He also likes swimming, trampolining, and soft play. He has ASD and some routines he prefers during transitions; patience is essential. He communicates mainly through a choice book and has limited awareness of danger, requiring support during transitions and activities.

We are seeking enthusiastic PAs who enjoy working with children and participating in activities like walking, trampolining, and swimming. The role is primarily for weekends and school holidays to help him enjoy these activities.

This is a 2-to-1 support role, working alongside another PA. A driver is essential for safe transportation, with mileage reimbursed at 0.45p per mile.

This position is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and references. The vacancy will close once a suitable candidate is appointed.
