Job summary

A community support organization is seeking a caring Personal Assistant in Marlborough to help a 17-year-old young man engage in community activities. The position offers 2 flexible hours per week at £13.45 per hour, with potential for more hours in the future. Ideal candidates should be kind, patient, and able to assist with independence education, although experience in SEND is not required.

Qualifications

A bit about me:
I am a 17-year-old young man I am a kind and caring individual with a great sense of humour – people say I have lovely manners, and I like to help people. I love socialising and being out and about. I always have a plan of what I want to do but I need support in the community to keep me safe.


About the role:

I am looking for a caring, flexible person to support me to access the community. The role can include trips out to the local park, swimming, going to the pub for a coke, out for food, shopping, visiting garages and other places that I am interested in. Ideally supporting me with ongoing road safety education and helping with continued learning of other community-based life skills. I want to learn to be more independent. This post is ideal for someone with previous experience in SEND, but not essential. No personal care required.
Driving licence is preferable or a love of public transport, particularly the X5 bus!
The role is for 2 hours per week, this can be flexible i.e. 2 hours per week or 4 hours fortnightly. There is a possibility of extra hours/future increases.


The kind of person I am looking for:

Somebody that is kind and caring and able to listen to me carefully. A person that is patient and able to give me time to process and space when asked.
Somebody that loves to be out and about.
