Social Services and Healthcare Modern Apprentice

This unique Apprenticeship is now being offered with no age restrictions for applicants. This gives you the opportunity to work in one of our Care homes where you will earn a competitive salary, while securing a qualification in partnership with The UHI.
NHS Highland is an accredited Living Wage employer. The current rate is £12.60 and applies to all employees aged 18 and over.
This apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid. It is tailored to you as an individual with learning and assessments based on your needs and aspirations. On successful completion, you will be awarded an SVQ2 – Social Services and Healthcare SCQF 6.
Our Apprenticeships include a minimum of 3 hours per week dedicated study time, during which you will attend the qualification specific taught sessions provided by the UHI and undertake private study.

Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will be offered a bank contract; however, you may be offered a permanent job in a Social Care role in NHS Highland.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship.
