An established industry player is seeking compassionate Social Care Assistants to provide person-centred support to older adults and individuals with disabilities. Job Title: Social Care Assistant
Location: Various Locations
Contract: Various contracts from 14 hours to 37 hours per week, Permanent
Salary: £33,431 - £34,118 pro-rata / £17.33 - £17.69 per hour (including 15% shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance) or £32,102 - £32,759 pro-rata / £16.64 - £16.98 per hour (including 10% shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)

Role Overview: You will provide person-centred care and support to older people and/or to people who have a learning or physical disability to enable them to live as independently as possible, in line with the principles of the Health and Social Care Standards and the Scottish Social Services Codes of practice and local and national policies in relation to the protection of vulnerable adults.
Qualifications: You will hold or achieve within 5 years, an SVQ 2 (SCQF Level 6) in Health and Social Care or other equivalent level qualification accepted by SSSC for registration.
Skills Required: You will have the ability to treat people with dignity, respect, and compassion and ensure people are included in and supported to make decisions for themselves. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and show a basic understanding of health and safety for yourself and others, including risk assessment.
