Job summary

Fynity in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced SOC Level 3 Analyst / SSOC Team Leader to become a technical leader within a growing MSSP's SOC. The role focuses on leading major incident investigations, threat hunting, detection engineering, and automation to shape the SOC's future direction.

You will mentor junior analysts, coordinate incidents from detection to recovery, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders while working a hybrid schedule with two days remote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a SOC, MSSP or Incident Response environment.
• Experience leading complex cyber security incidents.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM and EDR platforms (CrowdStrike a plus).
• Threat hunting, malware analysis and digital forensics experience.
• Solid understanding of attacker methods, MITRE ATT&CK and modern threat landscape.
• Ability to communicate with technical teams and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into ransomware, APTs, and major security incidents.
• Act as senior technical escalation point within the SOC.
• Manage incidents from detection through containment, remediation and recovery.
• Drive improvements across SIEM, EDR, detection engineering and automation.
• Proactively hunt for threats and strengthen customer environments.
• Mentor junior analysts and raise the team's technical capability.

If you're the person everyone turns to when a security incident gets serious, this could be the role you've been waiting for.

I'm working with a growing Managed Security Services Provider that's investing heavily in its Security Operations Centre and is looking for an experienced SOC Level 3 SOC Analyst / SSOC Team Leader to become one of the technical leaders within the team.

This isn't a role where you'll be watching dashboards all day. You'll be leading major incident investigations, driving threat hunting activity, improving detection capabilities and helping shape the future direction of the SOC.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading investigations into ransomware, advanced persistent threats and major security incidents.
• Acting as the senior technical escalation point within the SOC.
• Managing incidents from detection through to containment, remediation and recovery.
• Driving improvements across SIEM, EDR, detection engineering and automation.
• Proactively hunting for threats and identifying opportunities to strengthen customer environments.
• Mentoring junior analysts and helping raise the technical capability of the team.

What they're looking for:

• 5+ years' experience within a SOC, MSSP or Incident Response environment.
• Proven experience leading complex cyber security incidents.
• Strong SIEM and EDR knowledge (CrowdStrike experience would be a real advantage).
• Threat hunting, malware analysis and digital forensics experience.

• Someone comfortable communicating with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
