Job summary

Evelyn Partners in Glasgow is seeking a Security Operations Specialist for a 12-month FTC to join the Security Operations Centre. Reporting to the Security Operations Lead, you will provide second and third line review, analysis and incident response for security events.

You will support external security partners, help ensure monitoring rulesets are relevant, and assist in planning security measures across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in security operations or a technical security role with focus on attack paths and mitigations.
• Experience with SIEM, IAM and DLP and applying operational security in Zero Trust environments.
• Knowledge of operating in an Azure/365-centric environment.
• Experience analyzing cyber attacks using MITRE ATT&CK or similar frameworks.
• Bachelors or Masters in InfoSec/InfoSys/CS or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to escalated security incidents within timescales, flagging events needing further investigation.
• Coordinate with third‑party security vendors for monitoring and triage of alerts and incidents.
• Analyze security reports to identify trends and drive secure behaviours across the business.
• Be part of the Cyber Incident Response team as a technical SME.
• Maintain phishing campaigns, reporting and remediation management.
• Maintain and review security tooling across multiple vendors and information systems.
