Job summary

Loughborough University IT Services seeks an IT Security Analyst focused on Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations. The role supports daily SOC activities, vulnerability management, and incident response within a collaborative team.

You will engage with third parties and continuously develop security capabilities across the university. Ideal candidates will have interest in IT and security, knowledge of SIEM and vulnerability tools, and the ability to analyze large datasets for threat

Qualifications

• Interest in IT, networking and IT security.
• Understanding of how IT systems and networks can be attacked and defended.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and SIEM solutions.
• Ability to interpret and analyze data across large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day SOC operations and investigations.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and report findings.
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate with third parties where needed.
• Analyze data across multiple datasets to identify trends and anomalies.
