Job summary

Focus Group is seeking an experienced SOC Analyst Level 2 to join our expanding Security Operations Centre. You'll investigate complex security incidents, act as escalation point for junior analysts, and help strengthen detection capabilities.

Based in Manchester with Hybrid/Remote options, the role offers £35,000-£40,000 per year and opportunities to advance into senior security roles while working with RocketCyber, SaaS Alerts, and Bitdefender GravityZone EDR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a SOC, MSSP, or cyber security operations environment.
• Hands-on experience investigating and triaging security alerts.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security threats and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and validate escalated alerts across multiple platforms.
• Mentor Level 1 SOC Analysts and contribute to playbook improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis on incidents including phishing and MFA threats.
• Coordinate responses with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
• Ensure thorough documentation with clear escalation paths.
• Stay up to date with emerging threats and industry best practices.
