Amazon Web Services (AWS), a global leader in Cloud Computing, is seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to lead highly visible AWS events across the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you will own the strategy, planning, and execution of events targeting IT decision-makers and professionals. As a senior event manager, you will collaborate closely with sales teams, solution architects, developer advocates, and marketing managers to define event objectives, shape event and content strategy, oversee promotional plans, and manage budgets. You will bring strong project management skills to coordinate pre-event planning, stakeholder communications, and post-event follow-up, ensuring alignment across teams and the delivery of high-quality, impactful events.
Key job responsibilities
• Building event strategies and setting clear goals to drive event success.
• Own the planning, production, and execution of events across the UK and Ireland, ranging from large-scale hosted events and industry tradeshows to high-touch executive roundtables and roadshows.
• Serve as the event project manager, overseeing all aspects of event execution including: pre-event planning and consultation, venue sourcing, vendor coordination, agenda and show flow development, event promotion and registration, event logistics, budget, staffing, on-site delivery, and post-event follow-up and reporting.
• Develop and share regular pre-event status updates and comprehensive post-event debriefs and reports.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, solution architects, develop relations product, PR, and executive teams to align event plans with broader business objectives.
• Monitor event performance and attendee engagement, making data-driven adjustments and contingency plans to meet goals.
• Deliver reporting across registration, attendance, campaign impact, and ROI.
• Manage the overall event calendar, project timelines, and budget for events in UKI.

- Experience in developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
