Position Summary

ESBO (European Service Business Organization) is responsible for identifying, evaluating and determining new opportunities within the digital media and advertising industry with the goal of creating scalable services and businesses on top of the global footprint of European Samsung Smart TVs. The ESBO team is working to create value for partners, advertisers, and agencies through its unique insights into TV viewership in the shifting media landscape.

We're looking for a driven, collaborative and forward thinking person to lead our ESBO FP&A function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FP&A, team leadership, and financial management, with a proven ability to drive strategic financial insights and ensure compliance with internal finance policies. This role will involve managing the reporting of revenue and expenses, collaborating with internal finance teams, and working closely with the tax team to mitigate risks and optimize financial performance.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead career development and talent retention of team members. While driving a culture of continuous improvement of processes and information for all aspects of finance
  • Work closely with headquarters finance (Suwon, South Korea) teams to align financial strategies, share insights, and ensure consistency in financial reporting and practices across the organization.
  • Oversee the preparation and release of accurate and timely financial reports, including revenue and expense statements.
  • Manage and control corporate spending, being proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues and providing key collaborators with relevant mentorship
  • Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Support senior leadership with insights into business growth drivers, risks and opportunities
  • Lead long term strategic plans with commercial leaders
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and procedures, maintaining control over financial processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with the tax team to ensure alignment on tax-related matters and minimize potential risks.
  • Ensure that the full end to end workflow (from client/vendor set up through to billing) is customer centric and robust
What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Korean fluency is a necessity
  • A proven track record of relevant experience in leading a finance team.
  • In-depth understanding of business processes related to Sales, Marketing, and Operations
  • Familiarity with media, TV measurement
  • Advanced Excel skills are required, including a deep understanding of formulas, macros, pivot tables.
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Experience working with SAP
  • SQL skills - a plus
  • Experience working with statistical analysis/tools - a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
