An established industry player is seeking a skilled SMTH Points Fitter to join their expert team in the Southern region. This exciting role involves maintaining a crucial railway route, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates will possess an SMTH license or be close to obtaining one, along with faulting and maintenance experience in the railway sector. This position offers a 6-month rolling contract based out of Paddington, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to essential railway operations while working within a diverse and inclusive environment.

Job description

I am looking for a SMTH Points Fitter who holds an SMTH license, or who is close to having the license signed off. With faulting and maintenance experience specifically within the railway sector.

We are looking for a SMTH Points Fitter who is looking for a new challenge. Joining a highly skilled team in the Southern region, you will be an integral part in maintaining a key route in the UK. We are looking for an individual who holds an SMTH licence or has previously held this competence.

Essentials
  • Experience of controlling a safe delivery of work.
  • Knowledge of signalling maintenance, inspection and renewal techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and instructions.
Desirables
  • Hold or working towards NVQ Level 2 or 3.
  • Able and willing to drive.

This will be a 6 Month rolling contract based out of Paddington. This role will be inside IR35.
