Job description

The client is an established and successful electrical hardware designer and manufacturer who supply safety and communication applications to the rail industry as well as other sectors.

They are seeking to recruit a PCB Assembler for their friendly, modern production facility in Redditch.
Salary - circa 24,000 to 25,000 per annum

Benefits of working with the company are as follows;

Hours of work are;
Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.45pm Friday 8am to 12.30pm.

The main responsibility of the role is to assist in the operation of surface mount assembly machinery and to assemble printed circuit boards (presentational and surface mount) and electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities and duties are as follows;

• Set up and operate SMT machines such as pick and place, solder screen printer and re-flow etc.
• Monitoring of SMT machined during production and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on SMT machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Print solder paste onto boards, either by machine or by hand.
• Using PCB layouts, bill of materials, parts lists and instructions to assemble , rework units and assemblies.
• Assist with stock checks and inventory.
• General electronic assembly.

Experience and qualifications for the role are as follows;

• Previous experience with a surface mount assembly (SMT) machinery is advantageous, however training will be provided.
• Basic understanding of electrical components
• Strong attention to detail.
• A dextrous nature.
• Computer literate and able to enter data into machinery correctly and accurately.
• A friendly, "can do" attitude.

The company are based in Redditch so is commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Solihull, Worcester, Droitwich, Dudley, Stratford upon Avon, Evesham.
