Job summary

Megger is seeking a motivated SMT Operator to support our SMT production lines by preparing components, counting with an X-ray machine, labeling, and maintaining stock accuracy. You will perform quality checks, daily machine maintenance, and ensure traceability and safety across the line.

The role requires attention to detail, PC familiarity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible, proactive and good communicators are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT/electronics/manufacturing is beneficial.
• Comfortable with PCs and software as machinery is PC-driven.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with components and stock.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment; needs good fitness.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and capable of prioritising tasks.
• Flexible approach and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out kitting and de-kitting of components for SMT production runs.
• Return unused components to correct stock locations with proper labelling.
• Monitor stock levels and log component movements; report shortages.
• Use X-ray counting machine to count components and label with part number and traceability.
• Support SMT lines with operational issues, quality checks and daily maintenance.
• Follow ESD, traceability, quality and health & safety procedures; keep environment clean.
