Qualifications

• Experience with SMT machines and IPC-A-610 certification required.
• Ability to program stencil printers and perform maintenance on SMT lines.

Jaltek is searching for a SMT Operator who will be responsible for the setup and operation of in-house SMT line producing electronic products for a variety of major OEMs.

The Role:

To assemble product in accordance with defined build instructions for a variety of major OEMs in market sectors including Automotive, Clean Energy, Communication & Broadcasting, Consumer, Defence & Aerospace, Homeland Security, IP Development Platforms, Medical, Scientific Research & Space.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assemble product in accordance with defined build instructions and IPC-A-610 standards.
• Ensure all deviations from IPC-A-610 standards are clearly & concisely documented on build instructions prior to commencement of any work on customers' products.
• Ensure defined processes are robust, clear & concise and can consistently achieve the required standards.
• Ensure you are confident that you have been trained to a level where you can demonstrate the required capabilities & competencies to achieve/exceed expected levels.
• Ensure all processes are stringently adhered to; any gaps or process improvements should be highlighted to your immediate supervision.
• Compliance with the company Quality Standard and procedures.
• Notification to immediate supervision on any job you cannot achieve the quoted build times.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Pre-kitting of SMT machines.
• Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers.
• Proficient in load placement program and set value checks for SMT Lines (Europlacer experience an advantage).
• Ability to create/adjust component packages checks for SMT Lines (Europlacer experience an advantage).
• Carrying out maintenance on SMT line as required.
• Operate and maintain TSM and Heller oven.
• Control of solder paste.
• Certification to IPC-A-610.
