The Job:

SMT Operator

Chelmsford

Our welcoming client is currently seeking an experienced Surface Mount Technician who will also support as an Operative!

The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Program SMT (Pick & Place) machinery
  • Follow and work from computer, drawings or parts lists
  • Prepare all required equipment and perform essential checks
  • Operate machinery, placing electronic components onto (PCBs)
  • Follow production schedules
  • Perform Quality Control tasks as required
  • Calibrate equipment
  • Assemble various electronic devices with precision and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Other duties as the position grows
Skills and Experience
  • Must have electronic competence recognition
  • Confident ability to affix electronic components onto circuit boards to manufacture electronic devices
  • Reading component identity markings (CIM) would be advantageous
  • IPC 610 accreditation would be advantageous
  • Experience and sound knowledge of quality standards & building practices
  • Work well within a team environment
  • Driver & own transport are required due to the location of this client
