The Isle of Wight Council is seeking a passionate individual to lead smoking cessation efforts and support staff on their journey to quit smoking. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in health and wellbeing, promoting smoke-free initiatives. The position comes with a fixed-term contract, extensive responsibilities, and a supportive benefits package.

Are you passionate about health and wellbeing? We need a personable, proactive, and empathetic individual to lead our internal smoking cessation efforts and support staff on their journey to quit smoking.
Smoking is an addiction requiring treatment rather than a lifestyle choice. It is still the main cause of death and disease in island residents, placing a substantial burden on NHS and social care services. The Council was recently awarded a national grant from Public Health to accelerate the decline of smoking rates and create a smokefree generationamongst our staff.
