About the Role

Howden Group seeks a passionate Commercial Account Handler in our Financial Lines Corporate & Commercial division. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support clients with complex commercial risks. Your expertise in Cyber, D&O, Office, and Professional Indemnity will help businesses navigate uncertainty and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help achieve client targets by providing outstanding service.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Account Executive on renewal strategies, attend client meetings, and follow up on action points.
  • Conduct market exercises to secure competitive terms.
  • Obtain renewal terms and present them to clients.
  • Issue renewal documentation in line with contract certainty.
  • Ensure premiums are collected before cover starts, following procedures.
  • Handle queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Record relevant information and correspondence on Acturis, utilizing the diary system.
  • Produce accurate documentation using Howden templates.
  • Process adjustments, notify insurers, and collect additional premiums as needed.
  • Cross-sell products from other divisions actively.
Knowledge and Skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience in providing specialist advice in financial lines commercial insurance.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Insurance, CII’s Code of Ethics, and GDPR.
  • Working knowledge of Acturis.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Good negotiation and broking skills.

This is a hybrid role based in Maidstone.
