Job description

SMART REPAIR - BODYSHOP - £16.00 - £17.00 PER HOUR (£39,780 PER YEAR)

Location: Peterborough

Pay: £16.00 - £17.00 per hour (£39,780 per year)

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Hours (Day shift) : 06:00 AM - 15:30 PM (£16.00 per hour)

Hours (Back-shift) : 15:00 PM - 01:00 AM (Monday - Thursday) and 15:00 PM - 20:00 PM (Friday) (£17.00 per hour)

NOTE: You must have previous SMART Repair experience to be considered for this role.

THE JOB

We need an experienced Smart Repair Technician to join a busy bodyshop in Peterborough. This is a full-time, permanent position with good pay and regular hours.

Job Duties

  • Perform smart repairs on vehicles including paintwork, alloy wheels, and interior trims
  • Polish vehicles to ensure a high-quality finish (Fresh Paint Polish)
  • Identify and rectify any imperfections on the vehicle's surface
  • Use appropriate tools and equipment to achieve desired results
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in smart repair and polishing within the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of different paint types and application techniques
  • Attention to detail and precision in work

Education

  • Relevant vocational qualifications in automotive repair or similar field

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in smart repair and polishing

Knowledge And Skills

  • Understanding of vehicle surfaces and materials
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in paint correction and detailing
  • Experience with using specialist polishing equipment
