Job summary

A leading company in vehicle repair is seeking a Smart Repairer to join their expanding team. The role involves high-standard repairs, including bodywork finishing, painting, and interior work. Candidates should have relevant qualifications and experience in an accident repair center. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate with no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced accident repair centre is essential.
  • Must hold a full valid driving licence.
  • Time served in multiple disciplines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Finishing and repairing bodywork of vehicles to a high standard.
  • Preparing vehicles for painting and mixing paint for color matching.
  • Repairing parts, including bumpers and interiors.

Job description

Whats On Offer To Smart Repairer:




  • Monday-Friday - 8:00am-4:30pm

  • NO Weekends

  • Hourly rate - £15 - £19 per hour dependent on experience



Duties of a Smart Repairer:




  • Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork or preparing the surface for a paint sprayer

  • Mending rusted parts of a vehicle’s bodywork

  • Removing any dents in panels

  • Repairing minor scratches or making replacement panels

  • Stripping and Fitting Vehicles before and after paint.

  • Stripping and Fitting bumpers and door.

  • Repairing interior Plastics and Seats

  • Repairing Exterior Plastics

  • Prepare vehicles to be sprayed and mixing paint to ensure a perfect match in order to spray

  • Painting vehicles accordingly to a high standard

  • Masking up vehicles

  • Priming vehicles ready for spraying



Requirements of a Smart Repairer:




  • NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in either/or Panel Beating, Paint Spraying or MET Technician or be time served in the multiple disciplines.

  • Hold a full valid driving licence

  • Have previous experience of working in a fast paced accident repair centre
