Job summary

Finlay Jude Associates is recruiting for Smart Meter Technicians to work across Bude and Okehampton, delivering installations and data uploads for smart water meters. No prior experience is needed as full training will be provided, and a company vehicle is supplied, with travel across the region required.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with immediate start, based in the Cornwall area. You will be joining a team supporting various projects within the local water network.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• A reasonably clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Install and exchange smart water meters at customer properties.
• Upload data using provided tablet and software.
• Support the team on various projects and water network surveys.
• Undertake installations and deliveries to complete small projects and packages of work.
• Work independently as a single-person unit in urban/suburban environments.

Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the utilities sector for Smart Meter Technicians. No prior experience is necessary – full training, equipment, and a company vehicle will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long-term career in the utilities sector. You’ll be working across the local water network in either the Bude or Okehampton area, installing and exchanging smart water meters and uploading data via a company-issued tablet.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and exchange smart water meters at customer properties
• Upload data using provided tablet and software
• Supporting the team on a variety of different projects and initiatives. Undertaking water network surveys and installations.
• Responsibility for the successful delivery of small projects and packages of work.
• Working independently as a single person unit within urban/suburban environments
