About the Role

At M Group Energy, we provide end-to-end energy solutions including electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. You will be part of our Metering team, delivering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.

Responsibilities

1. Respond to emergency and maintenance appointments for EON, ensuring smart meters are working correctly.
2. Install and remove smart meters (SMETS2) in customer homes, typically completing around 5 jobs per day.
3. Explain the benefits and safe usage of smart meters to customers.
4. Travel within your area using your tablet to view your schedule, which is available up to 2 weeks in advance.
5. Participate in ongoing training to develop your skills.
6. Maintain health and safety standards, supported by comprehensive onboarding and regular team meetings.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid UK driving license held for at least 1 year with fewer than 6 points.
• Qualifications such as CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel.
• Experience installing gas and electric smart meters.
• Previous MOCOPA experience to a multi-rate level is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional qualifications like REGT1, 3-phase, and registration on the EUSR portal are advantageous but not mandatory.
