Our Smart Meter team offers a fantastic opportunity for a Data Analyst in Stockport.

Our Role

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the quality of the company's smart meter data, resolving issues, and providing insights to stakeholders.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring and reporting on asset levels within the ENWL Smart estate.
  2. Managing the enrolment of new smart meters into the ENWL system, including investigating devices not processed via auto-enrolment, issuing commands for device features, and tracking enrolment volumes for consistency.
  3. Analyzing enrolment and service request failures to identify common issues.
  4. Monitoring smart meter behaviors, proactively identifying issues, and working with Suppliers and DCC for resolutions.
  5. Acting as the business owner for the Smart Meter System, developing metrics, reporting to stakeholders, and testing data uses.
  6. Managing forecasting and anomaly detection thresholds with the DCC.
  7. Serving as the point of contact with DCC for the Self Service Interface, managing permissions, testing, and incident management.
  8. Supporting IT maintenance and development of the smart metering system, including defect logging and testing.
  9. Adhering to company safety policies and promoting a culture of safety.

The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship at the start of employment.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in managing and analyzing large data sets, with knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, SSMS, or similar tools.
  • Strong visualization, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, patience, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint (desirable), understanding of electricity distribution, and openness to new ideas.
