This role is within our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, offering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters. Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure accurate billing and monitor energy usage patterns.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll visit properties working on Smart Meters in homes and businesses. Using handheld devices, you’ll complete tasks and update records on your tablet. No live electrical work or prior technical qualifications are necessary.
Your tasks include reconnecting Gas and Electric Smart Meters, changing SIM cards, modems, aerials, re-joining devices to networks, and exchanging batteries on gas meters. You’ll also conduct site surveys and support tasks requiring field visits.
Preferred but not required: experience with smart meters, electrical knowledge or qualifications.
