Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting SEO – Smart Data Policy Advisors in Cardiff to support the government’s Smart Data Strategy. These roles span sector delivery and cross-cutting programme activity, helping design governance, standards and legislative frameworks for a trusted, interoperable Smart Data economy.

You will work with DBT and other departments, contribute to evidence gathering, policy development and stakeholder engagement, and produce ministerial briefings and policy

Qualifications

• Policy experience in government or public sector desired.
• Experience of policy development, stakeholder engagement and evidence gathering preferred.
• Ability to turn strategy into practical delivery and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support development of Smart Data policy for priority sectors with regulators and stakeholders.
• Contribute to designing regulatory regimes and legislative frameworks for Smart Data schemes.
• Gather and analyse evidence from industry and regulators to inform policy options.
• Coordinate inputs from legal, analytical, technical and policy teams to ensure robust scheme design.
• Prepare high-quality written products for submissions, briefings and ministerial advice.
