Job summary

Ptsg Water in the United Kingdom is looking for a hands-on Small Work Manager to join our team. The role blends site surveying, estimating, managing field teams and project coordination, with travel across the North West, North East and Midlands.

You’ll translate site measurements into detailed pricing, coach field operatives, order materials, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery from enquiry to installation. Primarily building fabric works; 1–2 days home/office to handle admin.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying, estimating and project coordination.
• Comfort with reading technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to manage field teams and ensure project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveyor on sites, taking measurements, photos and videos.
• Translate site details into professional cost estimates and pricing.
• Act as main contact for field operatives and manage admin to installation.
• Order materials and ensure projects progress from enquiry to installation.
• Identify opportunities for business expansion and tailored client solutions.
• Cover building fabric work and refurbishments (flooring, roofing, joinery, glazing, decoration).
• Travel nationally; early starts to fit client access times; 1–2 days per week remote.
