Job summary

Vibe Recruit seeks a skilled Small Works Engineer with a background in Fire and Security to join a growing national group based in Newcastle. You will handle TECS, fire, security and life safety projects, delivering high-quality work with autonomy and support for your development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fire and security engineering with small works focus.
• Strong technical knowledge across TECS, fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control (multi-manufacturer).
• Solid understanding of BS5839, BS5266, EN50131 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivering small works projects from minor installs to remedial works.
• Ensuring all work meets British Standards, industry regulations and company procedures.
• Maintaining excellent health and safety practices across all tasks.
• Commissioning systems, handing them over, and providing customer training.
• Carrying out acceptance testing and quality assurance checks.
• Offering professional, customer-facing support when required.
