Job Role: Small Tools Fitter
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: £27,000-£28,000 (Overtime Available + Full training)
Hours: Monday-Friday + Overtime @ 1.5x

The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established National plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 50 years, are looking to onboard & train engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural background to the team. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relative internal progression routes.
The package:
- 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)
- All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x
- Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an additional 5 days annual leave per annum

- Opportunity to develop into a workshop or mobile fitter in the near future

The Responsibilities:
- Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on an array of small tools (saws, drills, mini diggers etc).
- Complete further training surrounding the wider kit list.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
- Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
- Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
The Requirements:
- Previous experience working within the automotive industry or hold experience with mechanical fitting.
- Experience working on engines would be advantageous.
- Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience.
- A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own.
- Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in any automotive engineering (advantageous).
- Open for full training and development within the plant industry.
- Full UK Drivers License.
