SMALL BUSINESS BANKER – Gippsland Region

Small Business is an energetic and highly engaged division within NAB, providing full-service support to our valuable small business customers. We encourage their business growth and support their personal journeys because our customers depend upon the resilience and courage of experienced bankers like you to guide them through challenges and develop long-term, trusted partnerships.

In this Small Business Banker role, you will:

  1. Undertake sales related requirements for a portfolio of Small Business Agri & Diversified customers.
  2. Build relationships with Business Partners to create and action new business opportunities and support our customers.
  3. Action and manage Salesforce opportunities & national leads.
  4. Increase our customers’ ‘Mybank’ footprint and undertake retention activities for existing customers.
  5. Perform credit analysis and approve requests for temporary excesses / increased limit requirements.
  6. Provide coaching, lead actions, and role model great behaviors across the broader business.
  7. Manage lending and product requests for small business customers.
  8. Understand customers' business needs to provide holistic banking solutions.
  9. Increase the portion of ‘Mybank’ customers within the portfolio through interactions and referrals.
  10. Be accountable for managing customer complaints and escalations until resolution.
  11. Coach and develop less experienced bankers and developing associates.
  12. Drive customer portfolio risk and compliance.
  13. Establish and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders (Retail, NAB Partners, and other Business Partners).

What You’ll Bring:

  • A genuine passion for customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience in a lending role.
  • Experience in managing customer relationships and the credit process.
  • A strong financial/business acumen.
  • Problem solving, time management, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
