This independently owned service operates in a referral-only capacity—providing structured, elective treatment pathways without the pressures of emergency or out-of-hours commitments. It’s a fantastic opportunity to refine your skills and work in a calm, focused environment centred on patient outcomes and long-term mobility management.
About the Role:
Monday to Friday rota, offering excellent work-life balance
Elective-only mornings, focused on joint and epidural injections
Afternoons structured around 1-hour consultations or 30-minute review appointme
Clients are typically self-referrals who’ve heard of the service through word-of-mouth or physiotherapists; formal vet referrals are required for treatment
You’ll produce detailed post-consultation reports and clinical plans
Many veterinary surgeons now refer directly based on strong results and communication
Soft tissue concerns are referred internally to a visiting imager for MSK ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections every other week
Caseload includes:
~70% mobility (osteoarthritis & MSK disorders)
~20% behavioural (where clinical exams are restricted for safety)
~10% working dog monitoring (tracking gait deviations for early intervention)
What We’re Looking For:
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with interest or experience in orthopaedics or pain management
Experience in joint or epidural injections is a plus (training available)
Confident communicator with an evidence-based, structured approach to care
Someone who values quality, trust-building, and clinical outcomes over volume
What’s on Offer:
