Are you seeking a fulfilling role that offers work-life balance in the picturesque village of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire? Look no further than Cheshire Pet, where we're seeking a dedicated full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team for maternity cover from the beginning of January.

The role will be largely based at our well established Holmes Chapel practice, with some hours at a growing branch in nearby WInsford. Nestled just a mile from junction 18 of the M6, with easy access to Manchester Piccadilly and Chester via the village train station, our practice provides an ideal setting for veterinary professionals who value both professional excellence and a relaxed lifestyle.

Practice Highlights

At Cheshire Pet, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where every team member feels valued and respected. Our dedicated team of veterinary professionals enjoys working together to provide exceptional care to our beloved clients and their pets.

With two exotic certificate holders, alongside two other experienced small-animal veterinarians, our team boasts a wealth of expertise and knowledge.

About the role: Join us in our purpose-built clinic, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including endoscopy, laparoscopy, ultrasound, and dental x-ray.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

With a 4 day week, and a 1:5 Saturday morning shift, you'll have the chance to maintain a healthy work-life balance while honing your skills and expanding your knowledge.

We're seeking a colleague who shares our commitment to excellence and compassionate care. If you're passionate about veterinary medicine and eager to contribute to a supportive team environment, we want to hear from you. We would consider any level of experience, there could be the opportunity to build experience with exotic pets if desired, but would also suit someone wanting to spend 100% of their day treating dogs and cats!

You Might Be a Great Fit If...
  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
