Veterinary Surgeon – Hampden Veterinary Hospital, Aylesbury
Salary: £45,000 – £75,000 DOE | Full-time or Part-time | Complex Case Focus
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role where you can fully utilise your clinical expertise and be part of a truly supportive and progressive team? My client in Aylesbury has an exciting opportunity for a motivated vet to join our hospital team, with a focus on complex medical cases.
The Role
Based at a purpose-built, RCVS-accredited hospital in Aylesbury, this position is ideal for someone confident in managing advanced medical cases and keen to contribute to a collaborative hospital environment. Whether your expertise lies in ECC, internal medicine, or imaging, they’d be happy to speak to you. This role offers flexibility, they welcome both full-time and part-time applications.

The hospital serves as the central hub for a network of three branch surgeries, providing a large, well-insured and engaged client base. With a comprehensive suite of diagnostic and surgical equipment, the facilities support a high standard of patient care across a wide range of cases.
Hospitalised patients benefit from exceptional, round-the-clock care thanks to a dedicated Night Vet and RVN team. You’ll be working alongside skilled colleagues in a setup designed to support clinical excellence every step of the way.
You’ll join a friendly and diverse hospital team that thrives on mutual support and shared learning. The clinical team includes 13 day vets, 3 night vets, 18 day nurses, 3 night nurses, kennel assistants, lab technicians, and a brilliant support staff—all passionate about providing outstanding care. They foster a positive, team-focused culture that prioritises wellbeing and encourages professional development.

Aylesbury is a lively market town in Buckinghamshire, perfectly located for countryside and city living. With the scenic Chiltern Hills on the doorstep and central London less than an hour away by train, it’s a fantastic place to live, work, and explore.

• A salary of £45,000 – £75,000 per annum, depending on experience
