Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Mixed Practice – Cornwall

• Supportive, Skilled Team – Join a friendly Small Animal team of 9 vets and 13 nurses, including an Advanced Practitioner in Medicine and a vet working toward a Surgery post-grad qualification

My client is a long-established, RCVS-accredited, independent mixed animal practice with two thriving surgeries located in stunning Cornwall. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced and collaborative team.

Supportive, Skilled Team
You’ll be joining a dedicated team of 9 Small Animal Vets—including an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine and a Vet studying toward a post-grad qualification in Surgery—and 13 talented nurses (FTE).

Modern, Spacious Facilities
The practice recently underwent a significant expansion and now boasts:
o Two theatres
o Dental suite
o Digital and dental X-ray
o New ultrasound
o Endoscopy and ECG
o In-house laboratory
o Separate cat and dog wards

The Role:

• 4-day working week
(8:00/8:30am – 6:30pm depending on shift)
• 15-minute consultations
• OOH rota: One week every 9 weeks (OOH only, no day shifts that week)
• Saturday morning clinics: 1 in 18
• Options for consult-only roles or full consult/op mix including OOH
