Job summary

inspiring vet care in the UK’s leading vet care provider invites a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy RCVS accredited practice in Dronfield and Killamarsh. The role is full-time, permanent, with 40 hours across four days per week, no out-of-hours work, and occasional Saturday shifts.

You will work with the team to deliver high quality patient and client care, handle sole charge when needed, participate in surgical and medical cases, and continue developing clinical skills.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility) with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice with routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive approach to learning and feedback.

Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance

We are a busy, RCVS accredited practice currently operating from two branches in Dronfield and Killamarsh. We are looking for a full time, permanent vet to join our friendly and supportive team. A part time role may be considered for the right applicant.

Practice Highlights

We have an interesting caseload, ranging from routine surgery, orthopaedics, keyhole surgery, laser surgery and endoscopy. We also have modern, purpose built facilities including a comprehensive in-house laboratory, digital x-ray (including dental x-ray) and diagnostic equipment.

Our team regularly hold social events outside of work hours, and set aside time for employee wellbeing and meetings, as we believe that staff happiness is important.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced small animal vet who is comfortable with sole charge, but has the ability to work well in collaboration with our clinical and support staff.

The position will include both surgical and medical aspects, as you will be expected to assist with consultations and procedures on a daily basis in accordance with the rota.

40 hours, 4 days per week, no OOH, 1:5 Saturdays
