Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with Medical Bias

Location: Cardiff, Wales

Job Details:

The client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a medical bias to join their team at an RCVS-Accredited hospital. This role is ideal for a veterinary professional with a passion for medicine and imaging, eager to work in a dynamic environment providing 24/7 services. The hospital boasts advanced facilities, allowing complex cases to be managed in-house.

About the Role:

  • Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, reflective of skills and experience.
  • Work Pattern: Full-time, with part-time considered. A 4-day week with one 9-hour weekend shift every 5 weeks and one bank holiday shift per year.
  • Hours: 38.1 hours per week, including weekend and bank holiday shifts.
  • No on-call duties due to a dedicated night service.
  • Certificate study and clinical development are fully supported.

Candidate Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate is a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon, preferably holding a certificate or Advanced Practitioner status.
  • They should have excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting colleagues' development.
  • Experience in managing complex medical cases and proficiency in scanning and endoscopy are preferred.
