Job description

The client is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join their established independent practice in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

The Role

  • This opportunity is ideal for a professional interested in a small animal veterinary role with a focus on 80% consultations and 20% surgery.
  • The practice is a first opinion, modern facility with an excellent reputation in the local area.
  • Candidates will be welcomed into a friendly team consisting of eight Veterinary Surgeons and fifteen experienced, qualified nurses.
  • The role offers clinical freedom and encourages case continuity, allowing vets to work up cases to a high standard. Sharing knowledge and expertise is valued, with support from experienced colleagues.

Hours:

  • Full-time, working 4½ days a week
  • 1 in 8 weekend rota with time off in lieu.
  • Up to 20-minute consultations.
  • There is no out-of-hours work, as hospitalised patients are cared for by a dedicated night nurse.

  • The position offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience (for a 1-year post-graduate experience; this would be circa £42,000 p/a)
