Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Veterinary Surgeon with post-graduate in-practice experience to join a growing independent veterinary group in Newbury. This vibrant market town, home to Newbury racecourse, is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the south of England.

Hours:

  • Full-time position entails a 4-day week and every other Saturday morning.
  • Part-time hours are also available.
  • No on-call duties, no working Sundays, no working bank holidays.
  • Up to six weeks of leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the owner and part-time vet to manage the practice caseload.
  • Collaborate with the medical and surgical peripatetic teams.
  • Provide support to the on-site nurses.

More About The Practice:

The practice, which opened just last year, is equipped with all the facilities expected of a modern practice, including digital radiography, ultrasonography, and an Idexx in-house integrated laboratory. There are dedicated surgical facilities for both in-house use and visiting ophthalmology, soft tissue, and orthopaedic surgeons.
